The 30/40 Anniversary Ball

Time to break out the Sci-Fi costume (or anything fancy or formal according to your tastes) and PARTY!! We all gathered for dinner at 7pm, ate, drank and danced the night away.

The Holodeck Arch

For the last few months some members have been toiling away repairing and rebuilding a TNG Holodeck Arch. The club originally built it many years back and it languished in someone's shed ever since.

No longer! Its been refurbished, repainted and the displays completely redesigned. The result is quite cool, and very much like the sets used on the show! We used it as the photo backdrop for most of the Ball.

Guys I'll need to you email me a full list of the award names as I've completely forgotten them now…sigh. I've included a number of general photos of the evening's proceedings here as well, including Marwin our DJ, and Rui our (video) cameraman for the night.

For the innocent onlooker - yes those are rubber ducks on trophy stands… No you really don't want to know, it doesn't translate believe me…

Come Dancing with me

Dancing shots are usually either boring or embarassing, so I decided to play silly buggers with the camera and try some oddball shots. If you were on the dance floor then you may be here somewhere…

Official Photos

I was asked to be the Official Photographer for the night (thanks guys!), and with all the great costumes I was kept hopping pretty much the whole night. The photos you'll see here are in the order I took them - so you'll often see the same person in many shots over time as different groups of friends caught up with each other, and of course wanted a photo together…
